This would be the perfect twitter linux client, awesome, you should play with columns like in tweetdeck and see what you end up with.

The problem with the Birdie is that it's so buggy!

At first glance, the photo looks like it is an extension of Everaldo's tweet, not its own tweet. If the SpaceX writing is put the top of the photo, I think it will be more clear which tweet the photo belongs to.

love love love this mockup. Would like to say I really like the toolbar - but would love to see something more akin to what you find on TweetBot the OSX twitter app or Twitter for Mac with the toolbar located vertically on the right. Either way, this is eons better looking than anything currently available on elementary.

You can add the Birdie PPA here: [link]

Or branch the code with bzr from lp:birdie

I like the condensed single toolbar. Awesome idea! Good if all other apps integrate this. I like the idea of saving visual space. Keep this concept and go on!!!!

I don't like the unified title/toolbar. When you have a consistent design, don't mess with it. Window buttons are a prime example.

+1 on this. Window controls should be distinct from in-app controls.

Oh, and, what the 3rd icon represents? If it stands for "Discover", shouldn't it be "#"?

Tweet and close icons are too close to each other, this may cause some problems to the users.

Other than that, it's a lovely concept.

Why not search bar on the top of the timeline like tweetbot? but, just for search in timeline, and a search botton to search in whole twitter

sorry for the bad english

Is there any point to a separate window for making a new tweet?

:icondanrabbit:

Just that it can be invoked without having to open the main window (ie, via contractor).

I would dock it like a modal if it's invoked from the twitter app. Otherwise, you could integrate it into the notification system. I have said for a while that apps like notify-osd need interactivity.

It might not always make sense for it to be modal, especially if you need to see something else on Twitter as a reference such as an @ name or # tag. Twitter for Mac does do an interesting thing where it's a popover if you're replying though.

The first mockup looks beautiful. This also looks like an awesome elementary app, not a big twitterer (tweeter?) myself but I'd love to see this on eOS.

Looked better before imo. Well at least the black bar and icons did. Now it's kind of boring and just looks like a slightly better version of Gwibber.

Also +1 on the smooth scrolling. Gwibber's scrolling SUCKS

The update is good but one thing annoys me and that is the consistency. I think all buttons in the top toolbar should be monochrome. There is a mix between colourful and monochrome icons.

Another point is the grey toolbar, it looks so boring and old to me. I really prefer the black toolbar you showed in your last screenshot with the blue glowing monochrome icons. I saw a new editor mockup where the toolbar is black, it is placed at the bottom and furthermore it only uses monochrome icons. The only thing which is missing is the blue glowing effect when you click on an icon.

I mean this mockup

[link]

Apropos consistency all apps look great for luna but switchboard looks ugly. It has too much grey in it. If you want to keep the grey color for the top bar, then keep it but only the top bar should be grey. The content window's background (where the keyboard, bluetooth, ... icons are) should be white. It would give a much better contrast and it would keep consistency with other apps like Files, Scratch, ...

I really appreciate your project keep up the good work! ;)

I think the "Write" button its too close to the close button, also, it totally breaks the style of the app. Btw, any date for elementary luna to be released?

I'm not sure I like the dark bar at the bottom. It's a little hard to look at. Not that you have an infinite amount of time to mess with mockups, but it would be cool to see a mockup with a gray toolbar at the bottom.

Regardless, I would use this app in a snap if it existed.
